La conflictualité productive chez Ricœur

Plus profond encore que celui du différend, se trouve chez Lyotard le concept de discrépance, qui souligne l’altérité bienvenue dans la rencontre des autres. Nous proposons une compréhension de l’anthropologie ricœurienne reposant sur cette idée, dès lorsqu’elle est associée à un autre concept, celui d’ergodicité, qui permet de penser le même dans la discrépance. Nous retenons l’exemple du procès et de l’acte de juger pour l’illustrer. Nous montrons ensuite que le procédé ricœurien de mise en dialogue de pensées rivales relève de cette anthropologie, et que Ricœur présente une pleine cohérence. Pour cela, un autre concept est introduit qui décrit le mécanisme de compréhension toujours recommencé, au sens où chaque nouvelle pensée doit pouvoir être comprise – aux deux sens du terme – dans le regard porté sur le monde. Ce mécanisme a un nom dans d’autres disciplines, difficilement traduisible en français : l’encompassing.
