Métaphores, paraboles et analogie: La référence à la théologie dans la pensée de Paul Ricœur

Resumo

Il est admis que l’étude de la métaphore représente une inflexion décisive dans l’herméneutique de Ricœur. On sait peut-être moins que cette étude est concomitante de celle de la parabole, qui représente une inflexion également notable dans la contribution ricœurienne à l’herméneutique biblique. Il arrive pourtant qu’on tire argument de cette concomitance pour prétendre que le transfert de certains présupposés théologiques (quant à la nature du langage et de la Vérité) s’en trouve facilité, et l’on ne craint pas d’avancer que les pages consacrées à l’analogia entis, dans La métaphore vive, prouvent la prégnance d’intérêts théologiques douteux dans l’élaboration de la théorie de la métaphore. Pour contrer cette critique dévastatrice, nous nous appuierons sur certaines analyses d’Umberto Eco, qui impliquent que la question des rapports entre analogia entis et métaphore n’a rien d’épistémologiquement scandaleux, et sur celles d’Alain qui, voici un siècle, a esquissé une interprétation des paraboles très proche de celle de Ricœur.
