Le rapt des drapeaux : art et mémoire anti-autoritaire 60 ans après un coup d’État au Brésil

Cet article propose une réflexion sur la mémoire critique à partir d’œuvres d’art créées dans un contexte politique autoritaire. En analysant des œuvres « anti-autoritaires », cet article pose la question suivante : comment la réflexion de Paul Ricœur sur la mémoire aide-t-elle à réfléchir sur ces œuvres qui se réapproprient des symboles nationaux pour dénoncer la manipulation du passé ? La situation politique du Brésil combine abus de violence et oublis en raison de son passé dictatorial et d’une amnistie dépourvue de mémoire et de justice. Les œuvres d’art contribuent à établir une relation entre mémoire personnelle et mémoire collective : on peut souligner leur fonction critique de dénonciation et de témoignage. La dimension politique et festive des œuvres que nous analyserons met en lumière la manipulation de la mémoire au Brésil.
